Carmel Kostos, founder of Next Talent Development is passionate about helping people to actualise their career goals. She is an energising workshop facilitator, well-credentialed leadership coach, catalyzer of change and inspirational conference presenter. Known for her down to earth, yet professional approach, Carmel's strength lies in her ability to help people to discover and develop their potential to become full participants in their career.
With a wealth of leadership and management experience delivering results and bringing about change in organisations, Carmel's career spans 20 years across Organisational Development, Training and Human Resources. She facilitates Next's leadership development programs and has been coaching emerging leaders and leaders in transition for the past nine years.
Carmel understands bottom-line business management issues, having led the strategic upgrade of the Australian Institute of Training and Development as inaugural CEO from 2000 to 2002, served on several Boards of Management and created her own successful consulting businesses. She has been nominated for the Telstra Australian Business Women's Awards on four occasions.
Carmel is interested in how to help people to learn in the workplace and her articles have been published in Human Resource Development journals including: People Management (UK), the Australian Journal of Adult Learning, Training and Development in Australia and HR Monthly. She has been an invited presenter at events in Australia, Ireland, England and Scotland.
